Drive to Gangtok and check-in at the hotel. In the evening, explore this charming town at your leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel. Day 2: Sightseeing in Gangtok Early next morning, go on a full-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Visit Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok to see spellbinding views of the Himalayas. See Do Drul Chorten, the biggest stupa in Sikkim. The Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday) has an impressive collection of Tibetan artefacts and ancient manuscripts. The beautifully structured Rumtek monastery is located on the outskirts of Gangtok. You can also shop for souvenirs at the Institute of Handicrafts and Handlooms (closed on Sunday). Day 3: Trip to Tsomgo Lake After breakfast, travel 35 km from Gangtok to picnic along the Tsomgo Lake. At 12,400 feet above sea level, this lake has been formed by the melting of glaciers from the surrounding mountains. The lake is considered sacred by locals. Spend the evening at your leisure in Gangtok. Day 4: Drive from Gangtok to Pemayangtse (123 km/approx. 6.5 hours) In the morning, drive to Pemayangtse in West Sikkim. Stop by in Ravangla, a picturesque town in South Sikkim. Once you reach Pemayangtse, check-in at the hotel.
