It is a widely used continuous industrial process which involves particle formation from feed fluid which may be in the form of solution, emulsion or pumpable suspension into either dry powder or granules.

A spin flash dryer produces powder from feed, which is viscous or gelatinous in nature, paste or filter cake. The two step process involves disintegration of the feed and drying of the disintegrated feed. Depending upon the nature of the feed material, conventional arm design could be used for crystalline, non-sticky material or Acmefil's specially engineered rotating spin design disintegrator could be used to handle sticky and gelatinous materials.

A flash dryer is used to dry residual moisture from centrifuged cakes or powders.

Spray Pyrolysis System is custom built drying system used for continuous transformation of liquid feed into a dried solid product by spraying the feed into a stream of hot drying air.

Spray Cooling is a process of conversion of molten mass into droplets which is exposed to cold air and thereby solidifying the liquid into defined particles size.

As the name indicates the product is fed to the inside surface of a large number of tubes through which it passes downwards forming a thin film. The steam enters the jacket surrounding the tubes and leaves at the bottom as condensate. The product inside the tubes boils, and the vapour accelerates to the bottom and separated in vapour separator.

Single stage spray dryers offer particle sizes of dried material from 50-250 microns. For producing large particles Fluidized Spray Dryers are employed. The atomization of the feed solution is done to produce large droplets and the drying in the first stage is done keeping the moisture content of the powder relatively high. The moist powder is dried in the integrated fluid bed system at the bottom of the drying chamber using hit air, and in the process, agglomeration of fines to larger particles takes place.

These are dryers used for drying the product in solvent base, by spraying the solution or slurries in a nitrogen atmosphere and recovering both the product and the solvent. The drying system can be equipped with fire detection, extinguishing and explosion suppressants.

Evaporation is the process, which involves thermally removing a liquid from a solution, suspension or emulsion. The starting and the end products are in the liquid phase and the end product obtained is in its concentrated from. Depending on the liquid characteristics to be concentrated, its temperature sensitivity, thermal degradation properties etc different types of evaporators have been designed and are used for variety of applications in different industries.

It is designed to uniform drying of the material at low temperature and is ideal for a wide range of both heat sensitive and non-heat sensitive products for low moist powder.

Natural Circulation Evaporators are vertical evaporators where the evaporation is induced in the tubes, thereby the vapor forcing the liquid to form a thin film along the walls of the tubes.
