The Jas ribbon blenders are based on a proven agitator construction that provides a triple mixing action thus ensuring fast efficient blending. The dimensions and configuration of the ribbons in ribbon blender are carefully balanced to provide a movement of material within the container that avoids dead spots and gives rapid product discharge. The design of the Jas ribbon blenders can incorporate features required for a customer's product or process such as: wear resistance, corrosive resistance, vacuum filling and discharge arrangements, special shaft seals, heating/cooling jackets. APPLICATION & PROCESS : Ribbon blender mixer is used for uniformly dry mixing and blending applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic, food, pesticides, detergents, and plastics industries. The Ribbon Blender comprises of a U-shaped horizontal trough, specially designed Double Helical Ribbon Agitator, rigid fabricated structure motor, gear box. In operation, material is filled to the top of the outer ribbon. The shaft rotates at relatively low speed and the moving ribbons push the material back and forth mixing it. The outer ribbon rotation displaces the material from the ends to the center while the inner ribbon rotations move the material from the center to the ends. This counter-current action results in homogenous blending. Mixing is achieved in 15 to 20 minutes with 90 to 95 % or better homogeneity. The bottom discharge provided for unloading of the material and easy cleaning of the mixing drum. Specially designed self adjusting sealing arrangement of unique design is provided to ensure that no black particle enters into the mixing drum. The Ribbon Vacuum Mixer Dryer operates at low temperature efficiently under vacuum. It is used for raw materials drying and mixing powder or granules of Pharmaceutical Materials, Crystalline, Insecticides, Pesticides, and Food industry and heat sensitive products. The Ribbon Vacuum Mixer Dryer cannot operate at low Temperature easily as it gets oxidized and is poisonous by nature. The Ribbon Vacuum Mixer Dryer is specially designed with a Double Helical Ribbon Agitator type blade by rigid fabricated structure motor, gear box which consists of a jacketed cylindrical shell with rotator. During the rotation of the stirrer, there is provision for application of vacuum inside the shell and circulation of heating media in the jacket. As the product gently moving while the ribbon stirrer rotates, the large heating surface area presented by the internals of the cylindrical shell ensures uniform drying of the product. A fresh layer comes into contact with the indirectly heated walls of the shell when the diffusive action is induced by the mixing stirrer constantly. A well designed sealing system ensures positive circulation of a heating media in the jacket and also enables maintenance of deep vacuum inside the shell. Suitable for homogenous mixing of dry powders of different bulk densities used in the Food, Mineral, Pharmaceutical, Paint & Chemical Industries. It is a simple versatile mixer which can also mix semi wet material. Ribbons of various designs are available to handle different materials. The mixer consists of a cylindrical shell inside which rotates a double helix shaft fitted with spiral inner and outer ribbons. During rotation of the shaft, the ribbons lift, convey and intermix the material to get a homogenous mass in short intervals. Discharge is from the bottom by a quick opening valve.  This type of Ribbon mixer is made up of S.S. or M.S. material. The sides of theRibbon blender are also made up of S.S. or M.S. material. It consists of a centre shaft of appropriate diameter and are either made of S.S. or M.S.material. The centre shaft is fitted with specially designed agitator blades in order to provide contraflow action. All the material in the mixer is constantly circulated from one end to the other. In larger mixer it is provided with inner and outer ribbons Sweeps maybe added to the outer ribbon to provide through clean out. The outer ribbons move ingredients towards the discharge while the inner ribbons contantly circulated material in opposite direction. The either ends of the vessel are provided with stuffing boxes on the shaft diameter. This stuffing box prevents leakage of material and also prevents material from entering into the bearings. The shaft is supported on heavy duty pedestals. The Ribbon Blender mixer is provided with a hopper and discharge.
