Radhe Basket filter is manufactured in simplex and duplex type construction with suitable material. Duplex Basket Filter provide ease of cleaning the element without interruption to the process. Two simplex basket filters connected with a pair of three way ball valve with a common single handle makes a duplex basket filter. By rotating this common handle flow is diverted from filter in operation to the standby idle filter. The clogged filter element can be cleaned and made ready for next change over. Simplex/ Duplex type basket filters are available in fabricated and cast construction. Simplex basket filters in cast construction are called pot strainers or bucket strainer. Filters are manufactured up to 48” NB size and filtration down up to 5 micron. Duplex basket filter & strainer permits continuous operation because flow can be switched back and forth between two filter sections. This allows one side to be serviced while the other is in use. Normally duplex basket filters are separated with three way ball valves or two way ball valve butterfly valve connected with equalization tee, between two baskets filter housing. Basket filters & strainers are normally supplied with spring arrangement at the top of filter element. This will ensure any type of bypassing & confirm the position of basket, even in case of reverse flow. Fluid bypass around the basket is prevented by an optional O'-Ring seal between the basket rim and the housing inside diameter.

The free straining area with a perforated basket is a minimum of six times the cross sectional pipe area. No tools are needed to open the cover. On sizes 4" and larger, a special cover clamp is provided to distribute the seating pressure and to ensure positive seating of the cover.FAFS  Y" Type Strainers:-  "Y" Type Strainers can be used for course filtration and with large filtration area. It can be used with fine mesh also. It can be installed in either a horizontal or vertical position (Downward flow) with the screen element pointing downwards.
