malhar submersible pumps are vertical , multi stage, centrifugal pumps with motor at the bottom & pump at the top. The water enters at the bottom of the pump and flows upwards through many stages. the stainless steel bronze impellers rotate inside the diffusers with inherent guide vanes. The diffusers direct water leaving each impeller towards suction opening of the next impeller, such a flow through each stage of impeller and diffuser combination adds pressure at each stage and finally water under high pressure is discharged through outlet at the top.   construction details motors are wet-type, water lubricated,water cooled rewindable squirrel cage induction asynchronous type capable of with standing wide voltage fluctuations. Specially designed tilting pad thrust bearings can with stand axial thrust loads with negligible wear. The stator is wound with water proof synthetic film insulated winding wires. Spring loaded seal rings , grommets & sand guard prevent ingress of water in to the motor. These centrifugal pumps are ideally suitable for openwells or tanks where there is a wide fluctuation in water level. This works under water and it rests at bottom of the well. Hence suction and priming problem do not arise. Pump’s volute chamber is designed to give the best possible hydraulic efficiency. Dynamically balanced impeller offers vibration free operation with long life. Prime mover is rewindable, water - cooled motor. Specially designed water lubricated bearings are used to withstand axial thrust loads with minimum wear and tear. The stator is wound with special water proof synthetic film insulated copper winding wires and made up of low watt loss steel laminations assembled under pressure and rigidly locked in stainless steel stator shell.Dynamically balanced Rotor gives vibration free and noise free operation, thereby increases efficiency and life cycle of the motor. Motor sealing is made by means of grommets, ‘O’ rings, oil seals and sand guard to avoid ingress of well water sand into the motor. Pressure equalising rubber diaphragm is provided to guard the pressure and volume variation of water inside motor. Motor must be filled with clear, cold, drinking water as detailed in our operator’s manual. Three phase motor requires an adequate motor protection control panel.
