A needle valve is a valve that has tiny port with a threaded, needle-shaped plunger so as to let perfect regulation of the flow. It has a very tiny orifice with an extended, tapered seat, along with a needle-shaped plunger on the other side of the screw precisely fitting the seat. When the screw is turned the plunger pulls in the fluid flows between the seat and the plunger, but until the plunger is totally pulled in the fluid flow is considerably obstructed.
