WORM GEAR REDUCTION UNITS : Reduction gear unit are manufactured in different sizes in adopter types as well as solid foot mounting type to transmit minimum 0.05 HP. With selection of correct sizes. Normally available in reduction ratio of 5 :1 to 70 : 1.   WORM : The worm is Solid with shaft made of high grade alloy steel so as to give hard wear resisting surface duly case hardened & super finished. The Bearing & Oil Seal generals are accurately, cylindrically Ground to give smooth running.   WORM WHEEL : It is made of centrifugally cast phosphor Bronze rim shrunk and keyed on cast iron center block on bigger unit and solid casting for smaller units. The teeth are hobbed on gear hobbing machine.   GEAR HOUSING : It is made of close grain graded cast iron. Large cooling fins on both sides and adequate cooling area improves efficiency.   BEARING : The ball or roller bearings are used in worm wheel with ample capacity so that is can take journal and thrust loads.   OIL SEAL : Best quality of oil seal are used (fenner)   SPECIFICATIONS : Wherever they can be applied in material and construction, they are made almost to I.S.S. 3734 – 1966 for worm gearing or DIN or Latest ISI standard.   GUARANTEE : Every “CROWN” worm reduction gear units is guaranteed for “ONE YEAR” against manufacturing defects. If any gear is becoming defective within guarantee period the same will be replaced free of charge provided it is sent to our works on site carriage paid. Any defect caused by accident on transit or miscue is not covered by guarantee.

Worm gear units with 16 CrNi4 case hardened and hardened steel worm shaft and bronze wheel are assembled on isles to ensure constant quality level. Helical and worm groups made with exclusive manufacturing systems, offer characteristics of sturdiness, quietness and compactness, are also suitable for universal assembly position. Taper roller & angular bearing are used in the gearbox for longer life & caring overhung load with higher torque. ‘CROWN’ Helical Gear Box and electric motors are built as one unit to give co-axial, compact and sturdy construction for slow speed and high torque application. ‘CROWN’ ” Geared Motors and reducer are available with single, double & triple reduction design, for extremely low output speed, two gear boxes are available in all type of construction like Foot mounted, Flange mounted and Hub type construction
