Dhariyal, considered as the father of cellulose derivatives in india, started research on scmc in 1955. He has been the proud recipient of 3 president awards for import substitution of sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, micro crystalline cellulose & cellulose powder. Besides the above, dhariyal group has also successfully developed hec, methyl cellulose, cmhec, propyl cellulose, mhec, hpmc and pva.
