Ever since Elmech Engineering Company's establishment 15 years ago, we have strived to achieve new frontiers of technical excellence. Gear units are manufactured in different sizes and ratios in adaptable, SU and Fix mounting type. It is available from 44.5 mm to 304.8 mm centre distance and 5:1 to 70:1 in single stage and upto 4900:1 in double stage. Gear Case : Gear case abundant ribs which augment heat dissipating area. It is robust in construction, made of close-grained cast iron. It is completely oil-tight and dust-proof. Worm / Worm Wheel : The worm is made of case - hardening alloy steel. Worms are generated on thread milling machines, gas carburized and profile ground. Worm wheels are made of phosphorous bronze. Worm wheels are hobbed on precision hobbing machines. Gear design ensures uniform transmission of angular velocity under all load conditions with higher efficiency. Bearings : The worm and worm wheels are sustained on ball or roller bearings of sufficient margin of safety to permit adequate thrust loads. Wheel Shaft : The wheel shaft is made of high tensile carbon steel. It is of large diameter to hold the torsinol as well as bending loads. Lubrication : Lubrication of gears and bearings is by splash of oil from the pump. Oil is not supplied with the gear unit. Occasional topping - up of oil is required. Branded oil seals are fitted on input and output shafts. First change of oil be made after 500 hrs of operation. Subsequent oil change must be made after 3000 hrs of operation / 12 Months (whichever is earlier). Synthetic Lubrication is also available upto 3:0" gear units : Gear units are satisfactorily operational in cement, plastic and other numerous industries. Units will work safely provided that theu are selected, installed, used and maintained properly.

The ELMECH reduction gearboxes of this series are built according to modern criteria in a compact form. Both the gearboxes for co-rotating and for counter-rotating twin-shaft extruders consist of a primary reduction gear unit and a distribution gear unit. which are linked by means of a thrust-bearing housing and by a pressure flange that absorb the axial thrust coming from the extruder. Housing :The housing is made of high-quality cast-iron or fabricated from electro-welded steel. Gears : The gears of the primary reducer unit are made of case-steel of the 18NiCrMo5 type and have a helical teeth. The profile is ground with a higher quality to ensure lowest noise level and efficient use. The shaft and the toothed wheels of the distribution gear unit are made of high-quality special steel with excellent tensile strength.Bearings : The gearboxes of this series are provided with cylindrical roller bearings of reputed makers and considerable size. The thrust bearings are of the axial self aligning roller type of the 294... E series. They are coupled with bearing packages. Lubrication : A combined splash and forced spray lubrication system guarantees optimal lubrication, even in unfavourable environmental conditions, best heat elimination and low losses. plash and forced spray lubrication with integrated oil reservoir for emergency running properties. Integrated lubrication system with flanged oil-pump, oil-filter and pressure switch.

Range : Standard 3 Phase Induction Motors with rating 0.12 HP to 10 HR are available from frame size 63 to 160 with standard speed and various construction. Standard : Performance conforms to IS:325 and dimensions according to IS:1231 and IS:2223. Ratings : Motors are rated for continues duty type S1 at an ambient of 40° C and site altitudes of up to 1000 M above mean sea level. Voltage and Frequency : Motors designed are for rated voltage of 415V +/-6%, 3 Phase, 50 Hz +/-3% supply. Motors with special designs of voltage / frequency can be offered on request. Paint :Standard Synthetic enamel paint is provided which is suitable for tropical conditions. However, special paint can be provided on request. Construction : Standard motors with single shaft extension are for horizontal foot mounting (B3 as per IS:1231) and vertical flange/face mounting (B5 & B14 as per IS:2223). Other types of construction as show below can be offered on request. Insulation System : All standard motors are provided with class "B" insulation system. Motors with any other class of Insulation can be offered on request. Degree of Protection : Motors have IP44 degree of protection as a standard feature conforming to IS 4691. Motors can be supplied with protection IP54 as well as IP55 on special request. Cooling & Ventilation : Type of cooling is as per IS 6362. All motors have an external bi-direction centrifugal fan. Terminal Box : All motors are provided with terminal box is on the top of the housing. Terminal box can be rotated in steps of 90°. Noise : Motors are designed for low noise level in accordance with IS 12065. Bearing System : All motors are equipped with pre-lubricated bearing. Regressing facility can be provided on request. Earthing Terminals : Two earthing terminals are provided in all the motors. Both on the stator housing. Terminal can be provided in "T" Box on request.Special Features Available on Request. These are subsequently profile ground to precision grade to ensure high standard of accuracy, long life and quiet running characteristics. Housing and Covers : Closed grain cast iron is the material used for significant loading conditions for gearbox housing and covers. The suave design of housing with partition wall provides it a great amount of torsional rigidity. Ample surface area is provided for heat dissipation. Bearing and Oil Seals : Bearing from principal manufacturers are utilized throughout. These are selected to endure combined radial and thrust loads. High quality oil seals are used to resist the temperature. Lubrication :Lubrication is completely independent by automatic spash, which arranges stream of oil for minimum wear and noise. Extra attenion is not necessary excluding frequent topping up of the oil. Cooling : Subbstantial exterior area is provided for heat dissipation. All units are fitted with cooling water coil. Elmech Engineering Company manufactures helical geared motors and associated products for more than 10 years. These motors and associated products for more than 10 years. These motors are produced from 0.5 HP to 20.0 HP and speed ranging from 1.5 RPM to 450 RPM. They are designed for continuous duty under ardaous operating conditions. These can be supplied as gear units also, where the flange mounted motors procured by customers can be fitted. We also supply inline gearbox with input shaft to which the customer can connect a standard foot mounted electric motor. Our generated motors process high efficiency, low noise operation and sturdy design.e. Gear : High tensile low alloy steel is used as a raw material. Ample dimensions of gear wheels and shafts ensure long life of gearbox. Gears are designed to transmit high torque and power with smooth running under all types of abnormal operating conditions. Housing and Covers : Closed grain cast iron is the material used for significant loading conditions for gearbox housing and covers. The suave design of housing with partition wall provides it a great amount of torsional rigidity. Ample surface area is provided for heat dissipation. Shaft and Bearings : Adequate bearing spans, sound dimensioning and elaborate desing contribute to the high degree of siffness and resistance to the fatigue and shock loads for the shafts. Bearings are selected such that they ensure longer life, smooth operations for the gear unit and to withstand high overhung loads. Lubrication : Gears are lubricated by splash lubrication of oil. It is provided with an oilseal, oil-leval indicatior, drain plug and breather plug. Geared motors are delivered without oli before starting, oil must be filled up to the level of oil level plug. First oil change must be done after operating 400 hours. Consequent oil changes should be occured after every 5000 hours of operation. Grease packed units are available on request. Testing : All components are thoroughly inspected at various stages and assmbled units are tested on no load for oil leakage, noise level and temperature. The electric motor used in standard geared motors are TEFC squirrel cage induction motors. They are suitable for 415 volts +- 10%, 50 Hz +- 5%. Motors correspond to IP-55 enclosure as per IS-4691. Flame proof and weather proof also can be given on request for special applications. We can also supply out geared motors with special motors such as brake motor, DC motor, multi speed motor, crane duty motor etc
