Novec1230 is a synthetic, non conductive anti fire system designed as the modern and more environmentally friendly alternative to FM200. Novec 1230 Applications Telecommunication switch rooms Computer and electronic control room Hazards aboard ships Flightline protection NOVEC 1230 systems are designed to hold the NOVEC 1230 in the form of a liquid and Nitrogen which is used to super-pressurise the container to 24.8 bar (360 psi) at 20°C. When the system is activated the contents flow into the distribution pipework to the discharge nozzle(s) where it is rapidly dispersed as a vapour (less than 10 seconds). During the discharge the enclosure will be fogged which may reduce visibility. This normally clears rapidly and should not obstruct the ability of personnel to safely exit the protected area. The benefits The gas extinguishes via its cooling effect, and as it is liquid at room temperature it makes handling, shipping, & system maintenance much easier that its Halon predecessor. It has zero ozone depletion potential & an extremely low global warming potential in that it has an atmospheric lifetime of just 5 days as opposed to its nearest Halocarbon alternative with a lifetime of 33 years. It can be used for both streaming & flooding applications & has been designed for special hazards fire protection. Novec has a very low use concentration in that the amount required for effective suppression is around 5.3%-5.6% of the volume of the target area to be protected. This means our Novec systems have one of the smallest system storage footprints of any of our fire suppression systems. Fire•Lite’s MS-9600LS(E) and MS-9600UDLS(E) are compact, cost effective, intelligent addressable FACPs (Fire Alarm Control Panels). The combination of Fire•Lite’s newer series devices and legacy 300 Series devices, along with the MS-9600LS(E) or MS-9600UDLSE FACP, offer the latest in fire protection technology. LiteSpeed™ is a patented technology that polls 10 devices at a time looking for new or different information. When new information is found at a specific address, the system polls that device several times for any new data. This improvement allows a fully loaded panel with up to 636 devices to report an incident and activate the notification circuits in under 10 seconds. With this new polling scheme, devices can be wired on standard twisted, unshielded wire up to a distance of 10,000 feet per loop. Each Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) loop supports up to 159 addressable detectors including photoelectric, photoelectric with heat, beam, ionization, photoelectric duct, fixed heat, fixed heat with rate-of-rise, and fixed high-heat detectors. It also supports up to 159 addressable modules including monitor (two-wire detector, normally open devices), dual-monitor functions (two monitor circuits from one module, two addresses used), multimonitor (multiple monitor circuits from one module, multiple addresses used), control (for Notification Appliance Circuits), and relay (two Form-C) modules.
