The gears and pinions are running in oil bath and hence to external lubrication are required. Pinions are of En. 24 & Gears are of En. 9 forged / rolled steel. Use of totally enclosed gear boxes are desirable in view of the increase transmission efficiency and longer life.   Limit Switches   Limit switched are provided to prevent the over lowering and over hoisting.   Button Block   The hooks is single shank ‘C’ type of forged steel tested as per IS 3815 once to rate table and swivel supported on thrust bearing.   Control Panel   The protective control panel consists of contractors, mcb, relay, transformers etc. The hoist is operated by pendent push button station suspended from the hoist with a wire rope.
