Komoline’s weather stations are used in the Hydro-Meteorological, Agricultural, Industrial, Pollution, Marine, Bio-meteorological and Aviation fields among others. It also offers its customers a Do-it-yourself option for a customized weather station. The Automated Weather Station product range consists of Precision Sensors, Data-loggers, Transmitters, and Software, including integrated in-situ measurement equipment and solutions.

Komoline manufactures more than 35 different weather sensors, including sensors to measure atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, precipitation, temperature, tides, relative humidity, leaf wetness, and radiation. A majority of the sensors are smart sensors that incorporate a microcontroller. The indigenously built sensors use the latest technology and can ensure strong signals over cable lengths up to several hundred meters. They are designed for specific applications in fields such as weather forecasting, pollution control, hydro-meteorology, agro-meteorology, aviation meteorology and oceanography. Accurate readings are obtained even in extreme weather conditions. Each sensor is individually calibrated so that sensors of the same model can be interchanged without any adjustment. Additionally, sensors with industry standard voltage output are supplied, for easy installation in the existing system.

The growing range of radiosondes of Komoline all are served by a relatively small number of highly configurable software defined receivers. The receivers are so flexible that all standard and customized radiosondes of Komoline can be used with the same receivers. The receive frequencies supported by the receivers are 400MHz to 1000MHz, with a 1Hz resolution and 0.1ppm accuracy. ASK,FSK,GFSK,MSK,PSK are all supported with configurable modulation index, baud rate and other transmission parameters. Configuring the receivers for a given radiosonde is as simple as selecting the model from a drop-down menu in the software or, for customized models, reading the configuration file for the same.

The KTMS3630 is a GPS-enabled PTU (Pressure, Temperature and Relative Humidity) radiosonde suitable for day and night operation. It weighs-in at an industry leading 120g and sports agile temperature, humidity and pressure sensors. Temperature sensing is by way of a precision RTD and humidity sensing by state of the art capacitive low-temperature humidity sensors. Pressure sensors use MEMS-based fast responding technology for high resolution measurements down to almost zero pressure. A high-altitude GPS receiver provides complete GPS synchronized time stamps for the data as well accurate position, velocity and heading information. The GPS altitude and pressure altitude are simultaneously available in the KTMS 3630.

The Komoline GPS Drop Sonde - KTMS-3650 consists of a GPS receiver, along with sensors to capture information about pressure, temperature, and humidity, in addition to GPS related static and dynamic parameters.
