Latest type of "U" bending machine is used for precision cold bending of tubes. Specifically prepared jigs and fixtures are used to ensure three dimensional accuracy for "U" bend tubes. Bending is done for all kind of heat exchanger, condenser, economizer, boiler tubes in carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel seamless as well as welded. At HMTL tubes can be "U" bent up to R=1 dia. (subject to size) Subsequent to "U" bending tubes are hydro tested and stress relieved if asked for. Also mock-up pieces are prepared for determining thickness reduction on the bend portion. Dye Penetrant testing on bend portion is done to detect cracks, flaws or any type of defects. Special packing is provided to prevent any damage during transit. StressRelieving of Carbon Steel and Alloy Steel "U" tubes "U" bent portion + 300mm on each leg length are annealed (Stress Relieved) in a batch type furnace in which temperature is closely monitored, controlled and recorded. Rate of Cooling can be controlled as per heat treatment cycle given by customer. Heat Treatment of Stainless Steel "U" tubes "U" bent portion + 300mm on each leg length are heated at 1050°C temperature by transformer. The temperature is measured by an Optical Pyrometer. Cooling is done immediately by blowing cold air to avoid carbide precipitation.

Stainless welded tubes/pipes are produced out of prime quality stainless steel strips procured from reputed approved vendors. Strips are converted into tubular form over continuous tube mill & edges are welded using tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding technique. Inside weld bead is removed with bead scarfing equipment fitted on the mill.Welded tubes/pipes are subjected to solution annealing, straightening and pickling operations.Finished tubes/pipe undergo various testing as per the specification/customer's requirements followed by marking and packing. It has dedicated plant of 27,500 sq. mtr. for manufacturing and inpection of Stainless Steel Seamless & Welded Tubes/Pipes with 10 pilger mills and bright annealing furnace.Cold finished Tubes / Pipes are produced out of quality seamless hollows either produced in house or procured from reputed approved vendors Seamless Hollows are either cold pilgered over pilger mills or cold drawn over draw benches using precision tooling to achieve perfect dimensions and smooth surfaces.Pilgered/drawn tubes are subjected to solution annealing, straightening and pickling operations. Finished tubes/pipes undergo various testing as per the specification/customer's requirements followed by marking and packing.
