The KDS-181 Bubbler Based Water Level Sensor measures water level by detecting the pressure required to force air through a submerged tube. It uses gage pressure sensors for automatic atmospheric pressure compensation. The technique is highly suitable for measurements in hazardous areas and for remote, automated, in-situ observatories. The air tube is the only submerged part of a bubbler system and is easily replaceable when damaged. The sensor is hence, ideal for areas where damage due to corrosion, clogging, contamination, debris, lightning, or vandalism is likely to occur.
