There are two types of shielding typically used for cables namely, foil and braid. Foil shielding uses a thin layer of aluminum, typically attached to a carrier such as polyester to add strength and ruggedness, which is good. A drain wire is used to terminate and ground the shield. Braid is a woven mesh of bare or tinned copper wires. The braid provides a low resistance path to ground and is much easier to termination by crimping or soldering when attaching a connector. The braid is more effective as a shield.

These winding wires have very thin insulation thickness which makes them useful in smaller submersible pumps such as V4 pumps. The old pumps are to be rewound the stator slots get smaller and they require thinner winding wires. "JAINSON SUPER" Super winding wires manufactured from bright-annealed 99.97% pure bare copper conductors these wires have low conductor resistance and hence high flux capacity. The thin insulation thickness is achieved through precision extrusion of specially developed and manufactured polymeric compound. Each coil is put through quality checks and water immersion test for trouble free marathon performance.
