One unit of pillow block consists of a deep groove ball bearings with a spherical outer rings closed in double sides and a housing made by gray cast iron or punches steel.   A pillow block bearing (plummer block) is a mounted bearing used to provide support for a rotating shaft with the mounting surface on a parallel line with the axis of the shaft.   Pillow block bearings are generally self-lubricating. Pillow block bearings are a form of mounted bearing used to provide load support for a rotating shaft axis. The bearing housing mounts to a surface parallel to the shaft axis. Selection of the appropriate bearings can be accomplished based on the shaft size and the radial and thrust load requirements.
