PTFE retains its properties after exposure to temperatures beyond the limit of almost all other thermoplastics and elastomer Depending on the end user requirements, PTFE is rated for continuous service at temperatures as high as 500 F. It can also sustain short exposure at higher temperature.

This is very flexible & supple packing, excellent alternative to pre-formed graphite rings.
