Aluminum Slat expanders are used for wrinkle removing on coating machines which is available in any length and standard diameter 6”. Bigger diameter can be made as per specific requirements. Normally plain surface is provided but some applications serration is required on surface for gripping. While ordering should provide the application temperature, web material, plain or serration required on surface, maximum speed of web material to meet all your requirements. For soundless working the rolls are also available with ball bearing type cam mechanism also. Normal expansion is 25mm. Slat Expander Roll are available in wooden slat with felt covering and With aluminum slats available in 6” diameter 8”diameter & 12” diameter in any working width. Particularly suitable for slow speed machines like coating cloth coating machines, Flat Bed Printing machine, artificial leather cloth before Batching machine etc. The Roll is fitted with cam mechanism fitted with on bearings with left & Right slats from center. For longer width three slats are fitted and middle slats are fixed to avoid V shaped wrinkle-removing action. Available with foot mounting pedestals.

Rubber Rolls are used on many web manufacturing and processing, converting industries. To order out a rubber roll for best desired application it is necessary to get the following details:- M.S. Shell diameter thickness of m.s. shell. Rubber finished diameter and rubber hardnessFace length of the Roll. Fixed shaft roll (or) Hollow roll ( ball bearing are fitted inside both side of the face ends) Total length of the Roll with both side shafts. Shaft diameters/keyways/bearing sizes/ Rubber to be used / rubber hardness required. Chemical resistance/abrasion resistance/Temperature resistance. Machine / location and application of the Roll like Guide Rolls, Nip Rolls, Pressure rolls, Squeeze Roll etc.

RUBBER GROOVED SPREADER ROLLER These have a distinct groove pattern on rubber surface and are capable of handling delicate films without any damage during the entire wrinkle removing process. The rubber grooved rollers are very extensively used on Film Plants as a wrinkle remover, because these do not damage the film of any gauge due to resonance effect that delivers minimum stretch to the film and reduced contact area between film and the wrinkle remover.

As the web travels over the arc of the bow, the material is stretched thus removing only wrinkles. If the web has been slit into numerous sections the ribbons diverge until arrested by the next path roller. Bow Roll is known as Spreader Roll, Bowed Roll, Curve bar Expander, Banana Roll, Wrinkle removing Rolls. Bow rolls are available in hard chrome surface, rubber surface and also Teflon covering for non-sticking applications. Hard chrome surface bow Rolls are used where speed is more than 300 meters minutes. If the speed is more the bigger diameter is used to reduce the rpm of the roll. Bow roll works only when there is proper lead-in and lead-out distance and kept the roll in proper warp angle with web material. To do such warp angle adjusting all rolls are supplied with bow angle adjusting worm-worm wheel gearbox with hand wheel and counter pedestal bearing block, by use of this it is possible to adjust the bow angle. When the Roll get maximum wrinkle removing stop the bow angle adjusting and put the roll on bow locked position, so not do any change in the bow setting. Air Shafts are generally made of Steel & Aluminium. Lug Type and Leaf Type airshafts are most popularly used air shafts. Lug Type Air ShaftsLug type air shaft is all purpose air shaft. It is available to hold core sizes from 2″Ø to 12″Ø. Leaf Type Air ShaftsLeaf type air shaft, unlike lug type is used for winding side. When it expands its exerts force on internal diameter of core all over 360°. This way it prevents deformation of thin core and hold it positively. It may also be used for coreless winding purpose.

Air Chuck and Quick Locks are also core gripping devices. These are mounted on ‘Dead Bars’ Multiple air chuck can be linked pneumatically together on dead shaft. The ‘Dead Bars’ are manufactued with ends of journals machined to the required specification on which it is to be used.
