SHRI - RAM TRANSMISSIONS - Pune (India) Started its journey in the field of manufacturing of special purpose machines way back in year 1995. The First milestone of the company started with the manufacturing, supply & commissioning of 100T capacity Job Rotator (Self Aligning Rotator). Subsequently, looking at the growing needs of Indian & Export market firm entered in to Design, Manufacturing, Supply, Erection & Commissioning.

This machine is widely used as advanced Welding Positioner Equipment, which is Designed & Manufactured viewing Domestic & International advanced positioner equipment.     The Work Table is tilted by motor, accurate & reliable positioning; hence it makes the work piece / job in perfect position for welding. The work table adopts AC frequency conversion speed, so large range of variable speed & high precision, weld at need speed. The machine can give all kinds of welding or manual welding improving welding quality, lessening welding labor & improve productivity.   This machine can be used at automatic welding or manual welding, such as pipe horizontal welding, tube end welding, axle, tray and barrel, it also can be widely used in the pressure vessels equipment, metallurgy, electric power, chemical machine etc industry.   The main machine of positioner includes machine framework, tilting movement, rotation movement and conduct electricity device and control box. The machine framework adopts the steel plates & channel welding into one body, is the foundation of the equipments, all welding seam request to weld accord with one class of intensity.   The tilting movement organization is to adopt the motor to drive the worm, & drive its worm wheel, which is fixed on the tilting framework acts through worm wheel to carry out its movement. The worktable can tilt or stop at any position within 0 – 135 degree. Driving motor with braking function, tilting angle high-point position has limit-switch. Worm & worm wheel unit transmission has self – lock mechanism, so work table will not tilt on its own under rated loading.     The rotation organization is on the tilting body , the work table can revolve along its plane infinitely, functions as FWD, REV, can be realized by control switch on the control board. Transmission of worktable rotation: AC motor, worm gear reducer – worktable etc. Its motion is transferred by those gearing & carry out welding work. The motor adopts frequency conversion speed control.

The Turn- table adopts AC frequency conversion speed, so large range of variable speed & high precision, weld / Paint at need speed. The machine can give all kinds of welding or manual welding improving welding quality, lessening welding labor & improve productivity.   This machine can be used at automatic welding / painting or manual welding, such as pipe horizontal welding, tube end welding, axle, tray and barrel, it also can be widely used in the pressure vessels equipment, metallurgy, electric power, chemical machine etc industry.

Our SCR is a versatile piece of equipment specially suited for manipulation of shells or any cylindrical component for positioning or processing. Special care has been taken while selecting drive elements and other components, to ensure trouble free service and optimum machine availability for production. Sturdiness is the key word since these equipments will be going generally to fabrication shops.   Rollers are of composite construction. On precision machined hub PU coating is done. To reduce losses due to friction, rollers are supported on anti-friction ball bearings. Because of this mechanical efficiency is high. Shell weight is shared by powered unit and idler unit but driving torque is provided by the drive unit. Idler roller purely supports the shell / vessel. PU roller ensures high load bearing capacity and positive drive. Lead screw with LH / RH thread couples the roller brackets for one idler. The resultant end thrust during loading is taken care by using taper roller bearings of adequate capacity. L/H & R/H nuts are fixed below the sliding brackets. The protection guards over the lead screw prevent flux & slag falling on them and causing premature damage to lead screw or nut. Also there are possibilities of lead screw jamming.

These type of Rotators are similar to Self Centering Type Rotators. The only difference between the two is that in Conventional type Rotators we use single motor and provide adjustable connecting shafts between the gearboxes as per job diameter settings while in Self centering types we use twin motors in both ends.
