The severity of the treatment determines the degree of solubility, which is the basis of classifying or grading dextrin.Applications of White Dextrin Textile Industry – It is used as textile finishing and coating agent to increase weight and stiffness of textile fabrics. Pharmaceutical Industry – A thickening and binding agent in pharmaceuticals and paper coatings. Firecracker Industry - A pyrotechnic binder and fuel; this is added to fireworks and sparklers. Chemical and Dye Industries – It is used as a carrier in colour and dyestuff industries. Paper Industries – It useful in paper sizing when thin viscosities are required, and may also be used in paper coating mixtures as thin viscosity adhesives and making paper cones.
