Also, with the growing concern of drying of fossil fuel and limited supply of mine generated coal, there is a need for an alternative. And the user can take advantage of carbon credit. White Coal briquettes have a higher practical thermal value and much lower ash content (2-8% as compared to 20-40% in coal). White Coal are made from agricultural and forest waste residues, which can be effectively used to replace coal and firewood by conversion of agricultural and forest waste into solid cylindrical form, by applying heavy mechanical pressure known as Briquetting. Due to existence of solid form lignin in the agro waste which acts as a natural binder there is no need to add chemicals or any other foreign substance to the process. Therefore, it came to be known as Binder less Technology. Briquettes, are easy to store, pack and hygienic to handle. And also there is no sulfur in Briquettes. And in the age on encashment of the carbon credit, the use of the white coal is very useful and pollution free for the earth. (1) Briquettes are substitute of various solid fuels used in different type of Industrial thermal application. (2) White coal briquettes are no conventional source of energy. (3) Eco friendly and renewable energy fuel. (4) Economical and cheaper than other solid fuels. (5) Pollution free, because there is no sulphur and other hazardous contents. (6) Lower ash content. There is no fly ash when burn. (7) Consistent quality because manmade and high burning efficiency due to its high density. (8) Combustion is more compared to other solid fuels.
