This is a fast and simple multiplexer. These multiplexers work with a wide variety of equipment since they are completely transparent to character formats (5,6,7,8 data bits, any number of startstop bits). They are more convenient and economical than multiple line drivers where connectivity to a group of users is desired. These are used when ONE COMPUTER is used to connect upto 8 devices. A typical application is 2-8 CNC machines connected to a common computer . Using this switch will eliminate manual connection disconnection of Data cables to the PC device.

This enables uploading downloading data tofrom upto 8 CNC machines ( or devices ) using a single computer . The selectionof device ( say CNC machine ) is through manual rotary selector switch and the selection is indicated by LED indicators on the front panel. Using our Optical Isolator model 2303 LH PS at the CNC port will also prevent ground loop currents from damaging the port .

Our line driver is designed for high performance applications, where protection of data and equipment from electrical interference and power supply fluctuations is desired. Optical Isolation at both ends gives it high common mode noise rejection capability.

These Isolators are incredible ! By converting signals into light beams internally, their advanced design lets your data ignal go through, but a voltage spike is blocked. Your PCTerminalDevice are effectively isolated from any surge, upto 1500 volts. These surges can be caused by various sources – lightening, static buildup or interruptions in AC power supply. Your systems must have these Isolators if your cable runs close to AC power lines.
