It prevents fine dust particles from entering the compressor and reduces the cost of maintenance. It comprises of m.s. Fabricated casing provided with special fabric cloth, manometers so that we can measure the pressure drop across the filter element. The area of fabric cloth is sufficiently large so the velocity of air is reduced considerably and it is thus easy to trap floating particles of dust. Filter cloth is non woven type having filtering capacity up to 5 microns particle size with 99% efficiency.
