Silica content here is in the range of 98.50 % to 99.50 %. This is the cheapest grade available. But performance is the best in its category. Normal Premix: This is the pre mixed version. Remove iron or steel contents by powerful magnet. It is required to be preheated to 700-800 C. So as to eliminate moisture during summer, winter and rainy season. The mass should be preheated at a temperature of 1400 - 1500 C. Later cool it down to 500 -600 C and mix thoroughly with 0.8 to 1.5 percent boric acid according to the size of the crucible. Usually 12% of boric acid of medical grade is used for furnaces up to 3 tones Capacity. Always store the Ramming mass in dry and dust free area.  Application : Our Acidic Ramming Mass is used by mixing 0.8% to 1.5% boric acid. Mixing depends on the type of metal such as Low for Steel and high for cast iron melting. Complete lining guidance can be furnished as required according to the size of furnace.

Acidic/Silica Ramming Mass is basically made from Quartz only but comprises of 150 meshes to 4-16 mm grain. This is used in Induction Furness as Iron, out of the ground, melts at around 1510 degrees C and Steel often melts at around 1370 degrees C, but Quartz melting point is 1650 degree C. This powder form of Quartz is available in different percentage calculated on the presence of 4-16 mm grain. This depends on the size and liner’s choice. This mixture is then mixed with Boric Acid and then dumped as lining in Furness. A good Ramming Mass can sustain for 20 heats approx.
