Talc Powder
Also known as Soapstone, Talc Powder is hydrated silicate of magnesium (Mg3Si4O10(OH)2). The Talc Powder is the softest mineral with characteristic soapy feel and 1 moh̢۪s scale of hardness. The Talc Powder can be easily scratched and cut by one̢۪s nails. General Properties It is neither explosive nor flammable.Melting point of Soapstone is 1500oC.Pearly luster and its platyness gives excellent opacity to the end products Steatite, Talc, Soapstone are the three terms used in trade for one and same mineral.Soapstone is practically insoluble in water and in weak acids and alkalis.Above 900oC, Soapstone progressively loses its hydroxyl groups and above 1050oC, it re-crystallizes into different forms of enstatite (anhydrous magnesium silicate).Although it has very little chemical reactivity, talc does have a marked affinity for certain organic chemicals, i.e. it is organophilic. Barite Powder
We offer optimum quality Barite Powder, which is also known as Barite, Barytes, or the Heavy Spar. The Barite Powder has chemical composition as BaSO4 (Barium Sulphate). The Barite Powder, we offer, is known for its high specific gravity, low bulking value, low oil absorption, and high resistance to alkalies and acids. Further, the Barite Powder is inert and very stable in nature. Physical Properties Hardness : 3-35 MohsMoisture, Max : 0.5%Refractive Index : 1.64Sp. Gravity : 4.4Water Soluble Matter : Max 0.5%Oil Absorption Value : 10 ml/100gmpH Of 10% aqueous suspension : >6 to 8 Industrial Applications Ground Barytes is used mostly as an inert volume and weight filler in oil-well-drilling mud.It is also used in the paint industry as an extender. Barytes is used as a heavy additive in the paper & rubber industries. It is used as a filler or extender in cloth, ink, and plastics products. It is also used in radiography ("barium milkshake"). It is used as a deoxidizer for copper; lubricant for anode rotors in X-ray tubes; spark-plug alloys. Also used to make an expensive white pigment.Construction Chemical and Floor Coating : Highly recommended for floor coatings, water proofing compounds, sealants. Note : Variation of the specifications stated due to natural raw materials and environment conditions are possible. Though they have no influence on the application properties described.
