For the treatment of acute bacterial otitis media, a single 50 mg/kg IM (not to exceed 1 gram) Adults  : 1000/125 mg of ceftriaxone / tazobactam OD (or in equally divided doses BID) total daily dose should not exceed 4 gm (in terms of ceftriaxone).
