It contains metallic zinc which provides long term protection from corrosion. It’s potential applications covers areas like structural steel and pipes, tank exteriors, bridges, offshore platforms, marine hulls, superstructures and decks and industries like petrochemical complex, refineries, fertilizer units, pow er plants, smelters, cement plants, paper and pulp plants, transportation industries, chemical plants, etc. It can also be used as a primer for buried pipelines, tanksboilers and structures. It is also recommended as a primer for high temperature areas (Max 400 Deg C). It is advisable to apply subsequent high build intermediate coats.

The minimum quantity of zinc chrome needed is 20% of the total pigment. Every film of primer accepts moisture from the air, which in turn is the main cause of rusting. Zinc chrome pigment (under moist conditions) dissociates itself into zinc and chromic acid. The latter offers what is called passivati on thereby taking much longer time to start rust

This product is recommended to be applied on interior wall plaster and masonries. This is 1 st quality paint with high coverage and opacity. It resists atmospheric humidity and moderate washings. This product should not be used in areas where frequent contacts with water or water vapours are possible. This paint also fungus and mildew resistant

This coating can be applied where dry heat resistance up to 600º c is required. Areas like chimneys, ovens, stack, exteriors of boilers etc. Can be coated with this paint.

Epolac epoxy zinc rich primer is used extensively in various industries using structural steel in pre-fabrication stage and as a shop primer for installations in marine industry, in shipyards, in portharbor installations, etc. It is also used for shutters of dams, spillways, penstocks and pipelines and under water structures. In all these cases the primer must be coated with the recommended paints.

The floors are required to remain dust free and strong enough to resist abrasion of pedestrian traffic as well as wheel traffic. Also required is resistance to certain chemicals. This product is recommended as wall filler to be applie d on wall plaster and masonries to fill the porosity of the surface and there by reducing the absorption of the emulsion paints. It levels the imperfections of the plaster and renders very smooth finish upon sanding with sand papers. It provides white back ground for the subsequent coats which altogether changes the appeal of the final coat. This product is recommended for interior use only.
