Light and sandy soils are unable to hold onto water when arid conditions prevail and humus is lacking. Sands reside in a condition of 'feast or famine,' since water and nutrients are only available for a short time after they are applied. So, in such soils transportation of water and nutrients to the plant roots is difficult, resulting in unhealthy plant growth. So, the need for a precise medium for transporting available nutrients from the soil to the plant roots was felt. This need resulted in biotechnology innovation called HUMDUM! It is a powerful combination of specific humic substances that bind to, and help plant roots receive water and nutrients. 1.When applied at the root zone, HUMDUM facilitates water and nutrient uptake for plants. 2.Due it's triple effect, HUMDUM acts as a conditioner for the soil, biocatalyst and biostimulant for the plants. 3.HUMDUM produces three types of effects on plant roots rhizospere; Viz.-physical, chemical and biological. It physically modifies the structure of soil, it chemically changes fixation properties of soil, it biologically stimulates the plant and the activities of micro-organisms, earthworms. 4.HUMDUM is a medium for transporting nutrients from the soil to the plant, because it can hold onto ionized nutrients, preventing them from leaching away. 5.HUMDUM enhances fertilizer performance, improves seed germination and seedling vigor.
