Extreme Temperatures Cables
Vibraflame® cables are fire resistant wires and composite cables designed to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -196°C to + 1565°C. This is an ideal solution for applications in steel and aluminium plants, oil refineries, glass factories, offshore rigs and in military equipment. Vibraflame® wires and composite cables are safer: heat resistant, they do not propagate flame and do not contain asbestos. They also resist water, chemicals, acids and lubricants. Vibraflame® composite cables can be used as power, control, coaxial or power feed cables depending on the application. Axon’ Cable also offers extension and compensating cables for thermocouples insulated with Vibraflame® insulation able to resist temperatures up to 1050°C.

Coaxial cables are designed for the transmission of signals with minimum distortion and attenuation while preventing the reception of outside interference. In order to meet the most demanding requirements including aerospace, military equipment and medical devices, Axon’ offers different types of coaxial cables with single or double screened coaxial cables, triaxial cables, low noise and subminiature coaxial and triaxial cables. For high performance and small coaxial cables, Axon’ uses its patented Celloflon® (porous PTFE) which improves the electrical characteristics of the cable. The company also supplies RG coaxial and triaxial cables according to the American MIL-C-17 standard and KX coaxial cables according to the French NF-C-93550 standard.

Axon Cable has developed cables and connectors for SpaceWire interconnects, allowing reliable transmission of data at high speed (between 2 Mbs and 400 Mbs) between on-board devices in spacecraft. AxonSpaceWire cables and assemblies are approved to ESCC-E-50-12C. The cabling has been optimized in order to reduce the mismatching and crosstalk between lines at the maximum. The use of Celloflon®, expanded PTFE developed by Axon allows for low sizing, higher speed and fewer losses.
