Sandblasting line for zinc die casting components – ZIDCC LINE can be integrated in automated production line of high quality zinc die casting components. The goal is to finish components as much as possible in the machine. A high degree of automation enables more cost-effective and less time-consuming handling. Manipulator takes the casting from the die and put it to a special fixture on the sandblasting line conveyor. During the transport the casting is being cooled down to the right temperature for surface treatment process. Then the casting is sand blasted with a robot to quickly and precisely deflash the casting. Sand blasting with a robot is very fast, economical and gives the best possible surface treatment results.

Manual shot-blasting room is provided to carry out manual blowing operations, to remove the shots possibly remaining on the parts. According to the size requested by the customer, rooms are designed and fabricated which may consist of one or two main doors for material access. Two small safety doors complete with special pushing lock and inspection porthole, on each side of the room. Structure may either consist of steel walls or self-bearing panels with polyurethane insulation. The internal walls are lined with wear-proof rubber. Floor is made of steel grating for the automatic recovery of abrasive with a maximum load capacity of 630 kgm2. Material handling can be done by trolleys or by overhead crane. Transparent rubber curtains on the main exit with doors. Room includes lightning system with sufficient number of lamps to guarantee the lighting efficiency and lamps are protected from the shots by special hardened easily replaceable glass screen. Transversal screw conveyor to transfer the shots from the main longitudinal screw conveyors of the machine. In case of an already existing room at the customer site, bmd can supply the design and the equipment to carryout the shot-blasting operation.

Overhead conveyor shot blasting machines with hook are ideal for heavy and complex shaped work pieces like: casts, welded constructions, forged and pressed parts, remodeled cold or hot and of various complicated forms, steel bottle, springs, etc. Parts can weight from 5 kg to 10,000 kg, manufactured in medium and large series. This type of shot blasting machines are mostly used for continuous blast cleaning, desanding and decoring in die cast industry as well for descaling, derusting and reconditioning in metalworking industry. Treated objects are hanged individually or in a cluster on revolving hooks on a closed loop conveyor going through the shot blasting machine. In the process of shot-blasting the treated objects revolve and move back and forth in a jet of abrasive media, which provides best possible uniform blasting results.   Overhead conveyor shot blasting machine with hook housing is protected by wear-resistant manganese steel liners or entirely made of manganese steel and additional protection of the most exposed wear areas. High efficiency of the blasting machine is provided by the automatic and continuous abrasive handling and reclamation system for continued returning and cleaning of the shot blasting media, along with efficient blasting wheels made from wear-resistant materials. Standard equipment of larger VKP shot blasting machines includes: PLC, display, timer, automatic or manual mode, pneumatic cylinders on the door, revolving hooks, automatic start-up of throwing wheels, working-hours counter, etc. VKP blasting machine may be equipped with a magnetic separator, vibration conveyor and variable frequency drive for the throwing wheels.
