A retort pouch or a retortable pouch is a kind of product packaging composed of versatile metal and plastic foil laminates. This facilitates standardized storage of a broad range of food and beverages treated by antimicrobial manufacturing and used as an alternative to the traditional industrialized packing methods. Packaged foods range from water to fully cooked, thermo-stabilized (heat-treated) high-calorie (1,300 kcal) foods All through retort processing, all materials, namely inks and adhesives, must be capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, be acceptable for water treatment, steam treatment, air processing or any mixture thereof. Center Seal Pouches
