Water Quality Monitors
The EPA is focused on protecting the nation’s water resources, to help solve environmental problems and to understand how pollutants and contaminants in the water supply can affect the health of the public. They recognize the need for ongoing environmental monitoring, and in an effort to expedite the introduction of new environmental technologies into the marketplace, the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) program was established. The ETV Program is in place to verify the performance of monitoring technologies to assess environmental quality. Continuous multi-parameter water quality monitors like the TitraSip SA are considered to be a high priority technology.

Polymorphism has become a serious concern in today's pharmaceutical research as it affects a number of issues in pharmaceutical systems varying from processing characteristics & shelf life, to bioavailability. Resolution digital photometer
The AA3 HR's high resolution digital photometer, with optimized optics and 24-bit resolution, provides high sensitivity at ultra-low concentrations, wider dynamic ranges and lower detection limits. Air bubbles pass through the flow cell without affecting the signal, increasing sampling rate. LED light sources are available for high performance applications, such as use on research vessels. Other detectors, such as flame photometer and UV spectrophotometer are available for special applications. The chemistry manifold is comprised of close-tolerance glass components, which are chemically inert and allow for easy visual check of operation. Multi-test manifolds are available, where different analyses can be run - with no hardware or pump tube changes. Complex procedures, such as distillation, dialysis and UV digestion, can also be incorporated. High precision multi-speed peristaltic pumps ensure regular, reproducible dosing of liquid. High speed is available for fast start-up and wash-out and low speed is available to conserve reagents following a run. Electronically controlled air valves provide precise air bubble injection. The AA3 HR's random access autosamplers are fast, robust and have various rack sizes to meet your sample requirements. Samples can be added at any time during the run. Instrument control and data acquisition is carried out through the intuitive, easy to use AACE software package. AACE is LIMS compatible and both standard and GLP versions are available. High Performance Microflow Analyzer
QUAATRO is a high performance, fully automated instrument that uses the principles of segmented flow analysis to achieve complete reaction, high reproducibility and ultra-low detection limits. QUAATRO uses microflow hydraulics, enabling high sample rates with low sample and reagent consumption. QUAATRO is ideal for water and seawater analysis when high throughput and ultra-low detection limits are required. QUAATRO is a microflow SFA system, the internal diameter of all glassware being 1mm. This reduces reagent consumption and increases throughput, with most methods running at 100 - 120 samples hour. QUAATRO has many unique features to increase ease of use and reduce ownership costs. The integrated enclosed manifold and detector are heated to 37° C. Flow stability is ensured as the optimal bubble frequency for each method is programmed by silent air valves. Automatic start-up, method changeover and shutdown allows true unattended operation and overnight running. The grinding station crushes pellets or extrudates in semi-micro ball mills. 4 samples can be processed in parallel. To prevent contamination disposable grinding vessels and balls are used.The samples can either be collected directly from the pelletising system or they can be filled in manually. On the stand-alone grinding station the timing is set on the integrated timer. Sieving StationTo select the powders in a defined particle range, the samples are sieved. Up to 3 particle sizes can be selected per run. 4 samples can be processed in parallel.The sieves are made from stainless steel and can be easily cleaned in a sonication bath. Different sieve sizes are available, customised sieve sizes are available on request.

Automated Discrete Analyzer
The AQ2 employs a robust robotic sampling arm working in conjunction with a stepper motor-driven syringe that is responsible for aspirating, dispensing and mixing accurate and precise quantities of sample and reagent in miniaturized test tubes called reaction wells. The sample and reagents are incubated in the reaction wells for a pre-programmed time. A single aliquot is then transferred into a 10mm 100% optical glass cuvette. The absorbance is read on the stationary reactant to ensure the best possible signal to noise ratio. The sample is always read in the same position in front of the detector, in the same glass cuvette. This eliminates the issues of scratching and reaction well variability found with direct read systems. As the liquid is moved, not the tray, fewer moving parts means higher reliability. The standard methods supplied have optimized reaction times which ensure the reaction is brought to completion. This complete reaction emulates the manual and segmented flow methods and ensures lowest detection limits and good reproducibility. Once the absorbance is read, the glass cuvette is thoroughly cleaned and checked, ensuring no carryover or cross contamination.
