Compact Paper Band Filters provided by us do not have an electrical panel and the dirty filter paper is wounded on a mandrel that gives the easy disposal, wherein the dirt is collectively stored in a bin. These Compact Paper Band Filter work in a way that, firstly the working fluid with dirt is exposed to finned magnetic separator, and then the fluid is dropped in paper band trough. Fabric filter bags are used to separate particle from the dust laden air in bag filter unit. They are one of the most efficient and cost effective types of dust collectors available and can achieve a collection efficiency of more than 99% for very fine particulates. Mechanical shaking Dust-laden gases enter the bag filter unit and pass through fabric bags that act as filters. The bags can be of woven or felted cotton, synthetic, or glass-fiber material in either a tube or envelope shape. The high efficiency of these collectors is due to the dust cake formed on the surfaces of the bags. The fabric primarily provides a surface on which dust particulates collect through the following four mechanisms: Inertial collection - Dust particles strike the fibers placed perpendicular to the gas-flow direction instead of changing direction with the gas stream. Interception - Particles that do not cross the fluid streamlines come in contact with fibers because of the fiber size. Brownian movement – Sub micrometre particles are diffused, increasing the probability of contact between the particles and collecting surfaces. Electrostatic forces - The presence of an electrostatic charge on the particles and the filter can increase dust capture.

A non woven ( paper ) fabric band is used as the filter media for the separation of the chips from the coolant oil that is made to fall over it. The filter paper is stored as a roll on the unit and is pulled out by an endless chain belt on top of which the paper rests, after use of the front portion. This filter is extensively used on grinding honing machines for filtering cast iron aluminium fine steel particles from coolant, where coolant filtration is critical. Filtration levels of 5 to 40 microns are possible. There is no cleaning of filter needed except change of filter paper roll after a long roll of paper ends. When the paper roll ends, an optional “paper end” signal can be provided to fix a new roll.

The unfiltered liquid is fed into the filter under positive pressure, where liquid travels in downwards direction and finds its way through opening on sides of the Filter Plates. As the liquid pressure increases, the Filter media holds the foreign particles and allows only clear filtrate to pass through the central channel formed by interlocking pressure cups to the outlet. Filtration is continued until the cake holding capacity of the unit is reached or until the filtrate rate becomes too slow owing to cake resistance.

Membrane Filter Presses are used for extra Moisture reduction in the cake. It contains one Membrane Plate which has the inflatable elastomer, and a companion plate made of solid Poly propylene. During the initial phase of the filtration, usually called filling cycle, the process is similar to the chamber filter press. After reaching a predefined pressure, usually around 4-7 bar, depending on the sludge characteristics, sludge feeding is stopped and the membranes slowly inflated, using either water or air as squeeze medium. The cake is hereby compressed and dewatered further. This process is continued until the filtrate flow reaches a preset minimum limit. Then the squeeze medium is relieved and the cake discharged. • Membrane filter plates are designed just like the previously described chamber plates. A flexible membrane is fixed to the support body. Materials for the membranes include Polypropylene, synthetic rubber (for example NBR, EPDM) or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). The membrane is impermeable and serves to compress the cake within the chamber after the filtration process is complete. Liquid or gas (compressed-air) can be used as membrane inflation media. In order to guarantee maximum protection for the membrane filter press, we use special safety systems for the various membrane inflation media. Sand filters have proven effective in removing several common pollutants from storm water runoff. Sand filters generally control storm water quality, providing very limited flow rate control. A typical sand filter system consists of two or three chambers or basins. The first is the sedimentation chamber, which removes floatables and heavy sediments. The second is the filtration chamber, which removes additional pollutants by filtering the runoff through a sand bed. The third is the discharge chamber. The treated filtrate normally is then discharged through an underdrain system either to a storm drainage system or directly to surface waters. Sand filters take up little space and can be used on highly developed sites and sites with steep slopes. They can be added to retrofit existing sites. Sand filters are able to achieve high removal efficiencies for sediment, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), and fecal coliform bacteria. Total metal removal, however, is moderate, and nutrient removal is often low
