Futura Surgicare Pvt. Ltd. manufactures surgical suture needles from 300 series and 420 series for general surgery. Dolphin Sutures is one of the main consumer of the suture needles manufactured by FSPL. Being a suture manufacturer and supplier gives us sufficient experience and knowledge to identify the right quality of suture needles which will be appreciated by the users. All needles manufactured by FSPL offer excellent strength and high penetration characteristics. We currently manufacture needles from sizes between 16mm to 90mm in length in 420 series and sizes between 30mm to 50mm in length in 300 series range. The needles are engineered for the superior hardness with flexibility to eliminate brittleness, all needles are electro-polished to enhance finishtexture and reduce tissue drag. Also, all needles are siliconized for excellent smoothness and bore is annealed for superior suture-needle attachment strength.

Dermamate is the brand name of the disposable variety of Dolphin skin stapler provided by Futura Surgicare. Dermamate can be used for skin closure in a wide variety of surgical procedures. Our skin stapler is a safe, effective and time saving alternative to skin suturing. Dermamate is a high quality and low cost single-use skin stapler which is a ready to use, sterile device with ergonomic design. Dermamate is a wide size 35 pin skin stapler having application in abdominal, gynaecological, orthopaedic, and thoracic surgery for skin closure along with a variety of skin closures. Dolphin Skin Staplers are recommended to be used along with our Staple Remover.

Microporous tapes are one of our comprehensive products which are extensively used for wounds that have fragile or mild skin. These tapes are made of materials which are skin friendly and contain the breathable porous materials which allow the skin to breathe easily. Microporous tapes come in various thicknesses and it can be used to treat various sizes of wounds.

Sutura is the brand name of silk sutures manufactured by Dolphin Sutures. Silk sutures are entwined thread from silk worm larva. Silk sutures are coated and braided non-absorbable sutures. Silk sutures are specially treated with silicone to give strength and smoothen the surface which provides easy passage through tissues. Silk sutures are widely used as ligature and are also used for other applications like skin, ophthalmic, GI tract, etc. and are not indicated for use in biliary and urinary tract surgery. Silk sutures have moderate tissue reaction.

Our surgical mesh is a non-absorbable and thus provides permanent support for weak tissues. Surgical Meshes are available in a variety of shapes, dimensions, pore sizes, thickness, knitting patterns and bursting strength. Our Surgical meshes are not only smooth and strong, but they are also thin and flexible. Our Hernia Mesh can be used in both tension-free and laparoscopic tension-free hernia repairs.

Sutures can be divided into two types – those which are absorbable and will break down harmlessly in the body over time without intervention, and those which are non-absorbable and must be manually removed if they are not left indefinitely. The type of suture used varies on the operation, with the major criteria being the demands of the location and environment and depends on the discretion and professional experience of the Surgeons. Sutures to be placed internally would require re-opening if they were to be removed. Sutures which lie on the exterior of the body can be removed within minutes, and without re-opening the wound. As a result, absorbable sutures are often used internally; non-absorbable externally.
