Our natural fibre products include - hand bags, home products and office line products. Banana fibre is often blended with other natural fibres like river grass, ‘khus’ and hibiscus. Wool and jute are also combined to enhance design and promote innovation in the product line.
The Centre piece of the banana craft is the bark of the banana plant. The bark is manually extracted, processed, split into ribbons, twisted by hand, made into spindles using a highly intensive process. These are then hand woven to create rustic yet beautiful contemporary products.
All the products are handmade with a rustic look, yet elegant making them more contemporary and appealing.
Gramyabasket has a range of popularfood products made in Hulagalakunte Food cluster, Hiriyur Block, Chitradurga District. The cluster is comprising of the highly skilled women.
Range includes -Rasam, Sambar, Bisibele Baath, Vangi Baath, Puliyogre (tamarind based), RagiDosa Mix and Ragi malt (Finger millet), emmer wheat lapsky etc.
