AVRZIF - A ZIF Socket Module for serial programming of 4028 pin AVR DIP Controller ICs AVRZIF module is used along with an AVR SPI based serial programmer. It has a 40 pin ZIF socket and associated circuits for convenient mounting of AVR controllers during serial programming. It supports devices with 40 pin ( pin outs matching with Atmega16 ) and 28 pin ( pin outs matching with Atmega8 ), in DIP packaging. Since all 40 pin and 28 pin AVRs do not have pin outs matching with Atmega16 and Atmega8 respectively, it is important to confirm the matching of the pin outs with these devices before plugging a device into the ZIF socket. The 28 pin devices to be programmed is plugged into the 40 pin socket with their pin 1 matching with pin 4 of the 40 pin socket.
