XLPE insulated heavy duty cables were introduced worldwide in mid sixties. These cables have overcome the limitations of PVC Insulated Cables such as thermal degradation, poor moisture resistance and thermoplastic nature.Technical Advantages: Higher current rating, higher short circuit rating approx. 1.2 times that of PVC. Thermosetting in nature. Higher insulated resistance 1000 times more than PVC cables. Higher resistance to moisture. Better resistance to surge currents. Low dielectric losses. Better resistance to chemicals. Longer service life. Comparatively higher cable operation temperature 90 C and short circuit temperature 250 C Commercial Advantages: Lower laying cost because of comparatively smaller diameter of cable and higher weight*. Lower installation charges as the diameter of cable is comparatively lesser with smaller bending radius, requiring less space requirement for laying cables. One size lower cable can be used as compared to PVC insulated cable.

POWER-FLEX® Telephone and Switch Board Cables are widely used for high clarity communication in offices, factories, IT/ITES companies, hotels, hospitals, group housing projects, educational institutions, high rise commercial and residential buildings etc.POWER-FLEX® Telephone and Switch Board Cables are made of high conductivity electrolytic grade annealed bare copper conductor with nominal diameter of 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm. Special grade PVC as per IS:13176 (1991) type 2 is used for insulating with proper colour codes.The insulated cores are twisted together with suitable lay to form a pair. The pairs are bunched together to form pairs in such a way to avoid any cross talk.The bunched pairs are then overall wrapped with polyester tape and sheathed with gray colour FRPVC compound with high oxygen index and is also provided with nylon rip cord. POWER-FLEX® Telephone and Switch Board Cables are manufactured as per ITD-S/WS 113C & 114C specifications.Online spark testers ensure fail proof high voltage test by employing non destructive form of testing at twice the rated voltage.

The high purity & conductivity ensures superior working of the wires throughout their life. The conductor is drawn from bright electrolytic grade copper and annealed copper are bunched tightly together in heavy duty high speed bunchers in circular construction to get perfect concentric shape without any loose strands.INSULATION:The bunched conductors are insulated with specially formulated PVC compounds with additional FR properties whose values exceed the specifications laid down by the Bureau of Indian standards. The compound is resistant to moisture, oil, alkali and grease and has high insulation and dielectric values. The FR properties with high Oxygen and temperature index help in restricting propagation of fire at high temperatures. The insulation is carried out on state-of-the-art high speed double extrusion lines with self centering cross head. Automatic diameter controllers ensures precision centering and perfect concentric insulation. The skin insulation determines the colour identification while the inner layer is pure insulation free from any impurities. The high quality tooling ensures smooth insulation.Online spark testers ensure fail proof high voltage test by employing non destructive form of testing at six times the rated voltage ensuring consistent application of voltage throughout the length of the cable.
