At MTCPL, we have a dedicated group working on seismic qualification of industrial valves, actuators (electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic), pumps, control panels, piping systems and allied equipments. This group will get involved with customer’s engineers to take up seismic qualification by analysis or testing (in liaison with national labs) or by both as per the relevant codes. Methodology for the seismic qualification will be prepared on behalf of the supplier and it will be taken up with the end customer as required. If there are any gaps in the methodology it will be addressed. MTCPL will also design the required fixtures for mounting the specimen to the shake table. MTCPL doesn’t have any in-house test facility but will effectively coordinate with national labs such as CPRI, FCRI, IGCAR etc.
