Evolved from the BD range of dual displacement motors, the BV series is characterized by the variation of displacement which is achieved by changing the motor crankshaft eccentricity through an integrated electro-hydraulically controlled shifting system, which allows displacement variation in 12 steps. BV motors are supplied along with the value block and electronic control.  

The highspeed motors have max speeds which are 2-3 times higher than those normally expected in LSHT motors. The high speed feature complements the excellent low speed characteristics of the radial piston design. The ratio (max.speed) : (min.speed) is higher than any other type of equivalent hydraulic motor, giving greater flexibility of application.   The rugged design of the motors and their high operating efficiency enable high continuous power to be transmitted.

Dual displacement is achieved by a variation of the shaft eccentric cam. The displacement control system is based on a hydraulic device, which actuates a hydraulic control valve mechanism to select minimum or maximum displacement. The dual displacement mode allows the motor to reduce the displacement down to 10% of the maximum, hence making the speed ten time higher.  

The double shaft motors, with their high performance characteristics and double output shaft configuration, are ideal for applications such as axle drives, winch drives and tandem motor applications such as multi-speed drive units, flow divider units. A GMD-series motor can be mounted to another GMD-series motor or to another SAI motor with single output shaft.
