We are offering rosewood fruits. Rosewood inlay work is a historical art form which is being in existence since early 1900’s in the state of karnataka, india. Rosewood inlay work involves a laborious work process & enormous amount of time in order to obtain a fabulous jaw dropping intricate master piece, every art form is very unique like human finger print because 25 + different wood species are selected to match the design. Hence there are several variations in the colour, texture & grains of the wood. This intricate work involves many stages. The first step is to design and draw the images and patterns on the rosewood. Then the wood is hand cut using hand held hacksaw into desired shape. The motifs that have to be inlaid are then carefully handcut to obtain the desired shape. The areas where the motifs have to be inlaid on the plywood which is used for base frame of the art piece. It is carefully vaccum pressed by hand using a superior glue. Next the motifs are inlaid and fixed. The wood is then smoothened using sandpaper and polished to give a bright look. The entire art is encapsulated with suitable rosewood frame.
