Online Video Distribution
It is an application which is to be designed for hamsalekha’s music schools. This application acts as an online medium of learning where hamsalekha’s main branch admin uploads videos of various vocal and instruments trainings and the video has to be distributed to various school branches all over bangalore. Basically here admin need to create credentials for authorized branches and then provide them access to set of videos. Plugins are used here to view videos in application itself and security is implemented so that only genuine branches can access only the videos allotted to them.

Laser Controlled Events
With the advancement of technology devices are becoming affordable to general people and people are more attracted towards Artificial Intelligence and new ways to interact with computer devices. Laser Controlled Events is a java based application that detects the laser point stroke on any flat surface which is divided into 9 segments. Here we can make any flat surface such as wall or book as virtual events and a press of laser light acts as key press on keyboard. Laser Powered Virtual Events uses webcam to monitor the segmentation area, detects if any laser light comes to any segment and then does the equivalent of pressing a specified keyboard key. This software observes the surface using a webcam for the occurrence of a little dot made by laser point. When the dot comes into view somewhere, if it is within a defined hotspot, the suitable command or action is accomplished. Here to interact with media device i.e. camera we use JMF (Java Media Framework).

We can get information about almost everything over the web. Now any knowledge aspirant can browse the web and can get information or share the knowledge by uploading information. Here the problem arises when somebody uploads any confidential data over the web or the documents which were not supposed to be leaked such as question banks or company contract documents. This application deals with the mining of URLs of documents uploaded over some well known sites which allow free upload of any documents for sharing. This application would browse these sites as per the keywords and criteria by the user and fetch URLs of all the documents pertaining to particular company. A user can make any number of searches and find any no. of documents on document sharing sites. Document URLs can be of any types such as ms word document or PowerPoint presentation.

The most common Smart phone platforms available today are Android, Windows and IOS. Android, being the only open source platform for mobile devices offers a lot of scope in the field application development. Android is a software platform and operating system for mobile devices developed by Google and the open handset alliance. The purpose of our Android based application for making rescue calls is to make people feel safe even when they are in an emergency situation. The application can be activated before getting into an emergency situation, say before walking alone to a tunnel. On the press of a button, the device will send an emergency SoS to a friend or the police along with the current position and video to another device. We develop this application using “Eclipse” IDE (Integrated development environment) which uses the Android SDK (Service development kit). Once the application has been coded it will be tested on an Android virtual device (AVD). This application can be installed on all Mobile Phones supporting Android and can be used during an Emergency.
