    10 Per Kilogram

    1000 Kilogram (MOQ)

Vermicompost (or vermi-compost) is the product of the composting process using various species of worms, usually red wiglers, white worms, and other earthworms, to create a mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and vermicast. Vermicast (also called worm castings, worm humus, worm manure, or worm feces) is the end-product of the breakdown of organic matter by earthworms. These castings have been shown to contain reduced levels of contaminants and a higher saturation of nutrients than the organic materials before vermicomposting. Vermicompost contains water-soluble nutrients and is an excellent, nutrient-rich organic fertilizer and soil conditioner. It is used in farming and small scale sustainable, organic farming.

What Is vermi  Compost? :One of the best features of organic gardening is the ability to locally produce the fertilizers, pesticides, and other organic ingredients. And the easiest among them is compost. You can prepare compost almost anywhere, even in your kitchen garden!Agricultural scientists all over the world agree that compost is an excellent source of organic matter for garden plants. Compost provides air, water, organic matter, and microorganisms to your plants, thus enhancing their growth. It also maintains a healthy atmosphere for the soil and hence keeps insects, plant diseases, and weeds away. What Are The Benefits Of vermi Compost? :So what is so special about compost? Why not use organic matter directly? The biggest advantage of using compost is that the organic matter in compost is partially decayed, so its volume is much lower. Furthermore, the microorganism activity has started in the compost already, so the concentration of these microorganisms is very high. This makes the compost a concentrated and easy to absorb source of organic matter for the growing plants. Vermi Composting : Worm composting, also known as vermiculture, can be carried out in a bin or in a trench. Fill the bin or trench with soil and organic matter (kitchen waste or vegetable peelings). Then, release red worms into the bin. Ensure that the bin is always moist, but don’t add too much water. Adding water in large quantities will fill the pores built by the worms with water and disturb their colony. You can also make a hole in the bin for purging out any excess water. Some researchers also suggest using earth worms instead of red worms, since earth worms are more effective in converting organic matter into manure. The compost will be ready in a few weeks. While harvesting the compost, take care that you don’t hurt the worms.Organic :The most important aspect of compost produced by earthworms is that it is 100% organic. There are no harmful chemicals and it does not need to be mixed with anything.More Nutritious :Vermicomposting produces a product that is naturally designed to benefit plants in several different ways. The most significant benefit is that the nutrients in earthworm compost are very easily absorbed by the roots of plants. Unlike chemical fertilizers, vermicompost is not easily flushed from the soil because of the worm mucus that it contains. Plants have longer to obtain the nutrients and get the maximum benefit.  Micro Organisms :As the compost is passing through the body of the worms it is enriched with bacteria and microbes. These help plants to become more disease resistant and also repel some plant pests. The presence of increased microbial activity can make the area much more attractive to birds which also help to remove plant pests.Healthier Plants :As the compost works on the plants and they become healthier the need for pesticides is reduced. The reduction in pesticides helps the area to recover faster and can start an improvement cycle that will run on. This compares with the typical cycle when chemical fertilizers are used. The chemical fertilizers might increase plant yields but they do nothing for plant health. Continued use of chemical fertilizers inevitably leads to a breakdown in the soil. Ammonia and salts build up which attack the plants making them less able to withstand disease.Plant Growth :Among the hormones that earthworm compost contains are hormones that help plants to grow. Germination of seeds is encouraged, the growth of the plant is stronger and the crop yield improved. This natural support for the plants is not available with chemical fertilizers. The distribution of the compost through the soil also helps to encourage healthy root growth.Water Retention :Vermicompost is a colloid and holds up to nine times its own weight in water. This can make a huge difference when there is a dry spell. The water is held at an organic level so tends to evaporate slowly while still being available to the plants.Slow Nutrition Release :Chemical fertilizers bombard plants with huge amounts of nutrients that are going to drain by and eventually be washed out of the soil by the rain. The chemicals can get into the aquifers and contaminate your drinking water. This is avoided by using compost which is lower in nutrient content but which does not get washed out of the soil. The nutrients are held in place and released slowly so that the plants receive what they need over a prolonged period.Using earthworms creates a product that is natural and behaves naturally. The cycle of regularly over-dosing the soil is broken. Plant health is promoted by long term exposure to nutrients and the soil condition will continue to improve.

Since neem  can kill insects at varying stages, you can use it as a dormant-season application to kill overwinter pests and eggs or as a foliar spray to repel and kill insects. Use neem  as a dormant spray to control a number of insects, including- Mites that overwinter on plant leaves.10 Benefits organic neem pesticide :It’s Safe to Use Around Pets and Wildlife : Synthetic pesticides that work on contact often build up in the surrounding environment, leaving toxic residue behind that can harm and even kill pets and other animals in the area. It’s Organic and Biodegradable : Neem pesticide  is a natural derivative of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica), an evergreen variety native to India. This makes it organic and biodegradable. In fact, the Environmental Protection Agency has found neem oil to have “…no unreasonable adverse effects,” making it safe for the U.S. population and the environment. It Doesn’t Create “death Zones” as other Insecticides Can : Neem oil insecticide does not create a dead zone around treated plants, trees or shrubs like other synthetic insecticides can. It only targets leaf-sucking and chewing insects. Synthetic pesticides creep away from the sprayed areas to create “death zones” that can kill beneficial insects as well as other animals. You Can Use It to Control Insects At all Stages of Development : Neem oil kills insects at all stages of development — adult, larvae and egg. The active chemical in neem oil, azadirachtin, gets rid of insects in a few different ways : As an antifeedant As a hormone disruptor By smothering Azadirachtin will force the insect or pest to stop eating the leaves. When insects come into contact with neem oil, it also prevents the bug from transforming into its next stage of development by disrupting regulatory hormones. It Effectively Controls Hundreds of Insects : Neem oil is an effective pesticide that gets rid of over 200 species of insects, not just a few. Some of the most common include : Aphids Mites Scale Leaf hoppers White flies Caterpillars Mites Mealybugs Thrips Beneficial Earthworms Won’t Be Harmed : While traditional chemical pesticides can harm earthworms, neem oil has the opposite effect by encouraging earthworm activity. Why is this important? Earthworms are beneficial to garden soil. As they tunnel though the dirt, they create pathways that allow air and rain water to reach plant roots. These little guys also leave behind excrement, known as casts, that contain nutrients for the soil, including potassium, nitrogen and phosphorous. When earthworms die, their decaying bodies also help fertilize the soilIt Can Be Used as a Dormant-season Application or a Foliar Spray : Since neem oil can kill insects at varying stages, you can use it as a dormant-season application to kill overwinter pests and eggs or as a foliar spray to repel and kill insects. Use neem oil as a dormant oil spray to control a number of insects, including : Tent caterpillars, leaf rollers and other caterpillar eggs that remain on plant leaves during winter Aphids that cause leaf curling the following spring Mites that overwinter on plant leaves Scale insects You can also use neem oil as foliar spray during the growing season to control common pests, such as : Aphids Spider mites Whiteflies Leafhoppers You Can Safely Use It On Your Indoor Plants : One of the worst feelings is seeing your indoor plants overrun with aphids. Neem oil is safe to use indoors to prevent pests and disease. Just spray the leaves to kill pests without having the worry of harming your kids or household pets.It also Works as a Bactericide : Neem oil can kill fire blight, a bacterial disease that causes the leaves of plants to wilt and appear as though they have been burned. To prevent fire blight, you must spray trees while dormant. The bacterium that causes fire blight cankers overwinter on branches, twigs and trunks of trees.Protect Your Veggies from Pests and Fungus : Neem oil has a dual purpose in the vegetable garden as both a pesticide and a fungicide. It works on arthropod pests that often eat your vegetables, including tomato hornworms, corn earworm, aphids and whiteflies. In addition, neem oil also controls common fungi that grow on vegetable plants, including : Mildews Rusts Leaf spots Wilts Stem rots If you want to use neem oil on vegetable plants, spray them in the evening and again in the morning. Spraying at these times helps ensure you are not causing any harm to beneficial insects, such as bees, that help pollinate vegetable plants.

Different types of fertilizers, such as chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and natural fertilizers are available on the market. The type of fertilizer you use has a large impact on the quality of your product. Farmers all over the world use chemical fertilizers, but many are now shifting to organic fertilizers due to the apparent benefits of the latter.Benefits Of Organic Fertilizers :Organic fertilizers are carbon-based compounds that increase the productivity and growth quality of plants. They have various benefits over chemical fertilizers, which include the following : Non-toxic Food : Use of these organic fertilizers ensures that the food items produced are free of harmful chemicals. As a result, the end consumers who eat these organic products are less prone to diseases such as cancer, strokes, and skin disorders, as compared to those who consume food items produced using chemical fertilizers. On-Farm Production : The majority of organic fertilizers can be prepared locally or on the farm itself. Hence, the cost of these fertilizers is much lower than the cost of chemical fertilizers. Low Capital Investment : In addition to the on-farm production possibilities of organic fertilizers, organic fertilizers help in maintaining the soil structure and increasing its nutrient-holding capacity. Therefore, a farmer who has practiced organic farming for many years will require far less fertilizer, because his soil is already rich in essential nutrients. Fertile Soil : Organic fertilizers ensure that the farms remain fertile for hundreds of years. Land located at the site of ancient civilizations, such as India and China, are still fertile, even though agriculture has been practiced there for thousands of years. The fertility is maintained because organic fertilizers were always used in the past. However, with the increased use of chemical fertilizers today, land is rapidly becoming infertile, forcing many farmers to further increase their use of chemical fertilizers or even leave the farming industry entirely. Safe Environment : Organic fertilizers are easily bio-degradable and do not cause environmental pollution. On the other hand, chemical fertilizers contaminate both the land and water, which is a major cause of diseases for human beings and is the force behind the extinction of a number of plant, animal, and insect species.

How earthworms can help your soil Little is known about the behaviour of earthworms in Australia. Much of the research that has been done has been carried out in southern Australia, where the climate and soils are quite different to the NSW North Coast. For this reason, this information is very general in its approach. However, the principles established from research on earthworm ecology can be applied generally to most soils and climates. Benefits of earthworms By their activity in the soil, earthworms offer many benefits: increased nutrient availability, better drainage, and a more stable soil structure, all of which help improve farm productivity. Improved nutrient availability Worms feed on plant debris (dead roots, leaves, grasses, manure) and soil. Their digestive system concentrates the organic and mineral constituents in the food they eat, so their casts are richer in available nutrients than the soil around them. Nitrogen in the casts is readily available to plants. Worm bodies decompose rapidly, further contributing to the nitrogen content of soil. New Zealand research shows that worm casts release four times more phosphorus than does surface soil. Worms often leave their nutrient-rich casts in their tunnels, providing a favourable environment for plant root growth. The tunnels also allow roots to penetrate deeper into the soil, where they can reach extra moisture and nutrients. Earthworm tunnelling can help incorporate surface applied lime and fertiliser into the soil. Improved drainage The extensive channelling and burrowing by earthworms loosens and aerates the soil and improves soil drainage. Soils with earthworms drain up to 10 times faster than soils without earthworms. In zero-till soils, where worm populations are high, water infiltration can be up to 6 times greater than in cultivated soils. Earthworm tunnels also act, under the influence of rain, irrigation and gravity, as passageways for lime and other material. Improved soil structure
