UV Sterilizers
THE WAY UV Sterilizers are built on the property of UV radiation at 2537 Angstorm units capable of striking bacteria, algae, fungi & protozoa & rendering them harmless. The UV units are built with high efficiency UV lamps surrounded by Quartz glass sleeves to isolate the bulbs from water contact preventing thermal shock, glass breakage & mercury contamination. The sleeves also ensure very high transmission of UV energy with lesser losses. A wiper assembly is provided for periodic cleaning of Quartz glass from 1500 lph model onwards. An Electronic Ballast operating on 230V, single phase, 50 Hz AC triggers the UV bulb and ensures minimum power consumption. The design is based on 30000 micro watt sec/sq.cm. dosage of UV radiation which destroys significant water-borne pathogenic micro-organisms effectively. They find an application in areas such as, ETP HYDRAULIC OIL MIX-UP IN COOLANT TANKS OIL ACCUMULATION IN EFFLUENT COLLECTION SUMPS DEGREASING BATHS IN PLATING TANKS OIL FROM COMPONENTS IN INDUSTRIAL CLEANING MACHINES Skimmers are available either as “DISCS “, “BELT”, “TUBE”, “CHAIN” , “ DRUM”, “FLOATING WIER”. Disc Skimmers are used in applications where the variation in water level are low and collection thanks are smaller – such as Cleaning Machines & Degreasing Baths. Belt Skimmers are used in applications where the variations in water level are high and tanks are bigger and deeper – as in effluent Collection tanks. Chain Skimmers are used for removal of floating Oil, Grease, Scum, Algae and Debris across large surface area of tanks. They are also used along with DAF systems. Tube Skimmers are used when quantity of oil removal required is relatively low with respect to surface area of tank. Sand filtration is frequently used and very robust method to remove suspended solids from water. The filtration medium consists of a multiple layer of sand with a variety in size and specific gravity. Sand filters can be supplied in different sizes and materials both hand operated or fully automatically.The filter will effectively remove up to 30 – 50 micron of the suspended solids to less then 5 ppm. The filter will have to be washed with raw water for 20 to 30 minutes daily.
