The SmartSeries LB 414 is a radiometric detector for density, concentration and solids content measurements, combining both -detector and evaluation in one single unit. SmartSeries LB 414 densitometers can be applied on all liquids and slurries. Beside the high level of accuracy and repeatability, the easy way of detector handling is a major advantage of this density gauge. The local user interface with display and the software -focusing on the main functions make calibration and operation of the HART device very easy. Parametrization can be carried out directly at the detectors push button or using a HART communicator, via PC or infrared remote control. SmartSeries has been designed for the harshest of process conditions and is best suited for standard density measurements in non-hazardous, non-explosive environments but tough industries like mining, cement or pulp & paper industry. Its outstanding mechanical stability and robustness is verified by the Fraunhofer Institute. SmartSeries is cost-efficient and can be used for many years without the need of maintenance and re-calibrations.

Made from lead, stainless steel or tungsten our shielding containers create an optimum shielding effect in every situation. Unless it is required for the measurement, the shielding container is closed so that radiation is completely blocked and safe handling during transport and installation is guaranteed. When opening the shielding, the radiation is directed through a narrow channel towards the detector. All our shieldings are custom-made - with dimensions specifically adapted to the measurement requirements. They are designed according to the international standards ANSI 43.8 ISO 7205 IEC 62598

The LB 379 Inline Density Meter combines the radioactive source and the detector in one unit. The compelling advantage of the LB 379 is the extremely low dose rate, actually leading to a licence-free operation in several countries. Due to its low radiation energy, an Am-241 source is used whose energy is comparable to that of x-rays and whose half-life time is about several hundred years. The LB 379 provides a high statistical accuracy and long-term stability by the use of highly senstitive scintillation detectors with the patented drift compensation. The system is flanged to the pipeline. It is completely made from stainless steel and is also available with Teflon lining for a wear resistant operation for products with high viscosity and high solids content.

Like its predecessor model, the measuring system DuoSeries stands out by a particularly excellent performance with high accuracy and repeatability of density.
