    The HI3001 is a potentiometric sensor, utilizing four-ring technology to achieve accurate EC measurements. The four-ring technology allows for a wide range of measurement with a single probe as compared to amperometric two-pole probes that have a limited range and can suffer from polarization effects. The platinum sensors are protected by a PEI cover that can easily be removed for quick maintenance.   Internal Temperature Sensor The integrated NTC temperature sensor of the HI3001 probe is crucial for accurate EC measurements. Since the temperature of a solution can drastically change the amount of conductance, obtaining a fast and stable temperature measurement allows for an accurately compensated EC reading.   Threaded Connection The ½” front NPT threaded connection of the HI3001 allows for flow-thru mounting, while the ¾” back threads allow for submersion or pipe mounting without the need for additional hardware.   PVDF Body Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a plastic that is resistant to most chemicals and solvents. It has high abrasion resistance, mechanical strength, and resistance to ultraviolet and nuclear radiation. PVDF is also resistant to fungal growth.   Multiple Cable Lengths The HI3001D models feature a DIN connector for use with Hanna’s HI99XX series of wall-mounted controllers, along with varying lengths of cable.   HI3001D comes with a DIN connector and 3 meters (9.9’) of cable attached.
