tuffen glass
Toughened Glass or Tempered Glass has increased strength and is widely used for its safety as it usually shatters into small fragments in the event of an impact. It is usually installed in areas where safety glass is required to lessen the possibility of mechanical or thermal breakage and or to assure greater uniform load strength. Glass is tempered by taking annealed glass and heating it to softening point of approximately 660 degree C. Its structure is then rapidly cooled while the inner core is allowed to cool gradually. This results in layer of high compression on the surface counter balancing by high tension at the center resulting in a glass that is four to five times stronger than annealed glass. Should accidental breakage occur, the resulting fragments are smaller and granular, causing no injury, harmless.
...moreSecurity Glass
Security Glasses resist penetration from bullets fired from hand guns, shot guns and rifles according to individual specification. All these glasses are multi-laminated, ranging in thickness from 13mm to 60mm. The lamination is constructed in such a way that each layer of glass and each interlayer plays a specific role in assisting to the impact of the projectile. The initial layers are broken by the bullets and become finely granulated at the point of impact thereby absorbing initial shock and energy. The subsequent layers absorb the shock waves resulting from the impact and thereby resulting in reduction of the velocity of the bullet and according to design parameters, will either limit or prevent spilling of glass fragments. Even after the attack, barrier protection is maintained and visibility (apart the actual area of impact) remains unaffected.
...moreLaminated Safety Glass
Laminated Safety Glass can be used in the applications where safety, security, solar control, UV protection, noise control are required. FUSO Safety Laminated Glass is froced as a sandwich of 2 or more sheets of glass bonded to a tough and thermoplastic polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or Sentry Glass interlayer. Laminated glass can be manufactured annealed or and tempered glass.
...moreInsulated Glass
An Insulated glass is made by fusing two or more glass panes spaced by dry air or inert gas. The system is perfected by separating the glass panes with an aluminium spaced tube, joined at at one point and bending at 4 corners for comparatively better insulation and filled with a specially designed absorbent. The unit is then sealed around the perimeter with a flexible sealant . The inner seal is applied with butyl (polyisobutylene) sealant and the outer with an elastic based on polysulphide polymer or silicone.
...moreheat soaked glass
Heat Soaked Glass can be used in critical application areas to eliminate the risk of spontaneous breakage. Nickel Sulphate (NiS) has been known to be the cause of spontaneous burst in Tempered Glass Toughened Glass. During tempering the invisible nickel sulphide present in the glass is transformed to the high tempered a- phase (t>380C) has no time to retun to the ß- phase on quenching. With the passage of time NiS slowly inverts to the low temperature ß- phase with the increase in volume of about 4%. This volume expansion may cause glass breakage. The heat soak is a destructive treatment which heat the glass for several hours at about 290 degree C to speed up the a -NiS to ß - NiS transformation and consequently forces the contaminated glassess broken within the oven
...moreFire Proof Glass
Toughened glass or Tempered Glass Toughened Glass is a type of glass that has increased strength and will usually shatter into small fragments when broken. Fire resistant glass for the home or business gives protection & resistance from fire, Glass provides fire-rated glazing. Fire glass blocks heat, protecting people and valuables on the non-fire side of the glass where heat transfer might be a concern. It is used for doors and walls and can protect an area for up to 1 to 2 hours, saving and protecting people and property should the unthinkable happen. Fire rated glasses are not meant for interiors alone. They can be used on exteriors and combine gracefully with the architect's design. These new age products can be double glazed with several of solar control glass products, to give additional solar control and design benefits. This is also part of the tested FUSO Fireprotect Systems which includes special DGU units that can also withstand fire for the required duration. Fire –resistant glass is made up by processing ordinary float glass adopting high-tech and new production method through ion exchange– immersing surface dealt glass into cesium potassium salt solution..
