Zero Speed Switch
Zero Speed Switch is designed to detect the stalling of motors due to over load or chain delinking and conveyor belt stoppage. It is designed for accepting I/P Signal from non contact proximity pickup, Magnetic Pickup, Potential free NO Contact for DC/AC signal from Tacho generators. A Sensing Wheel with projection mounted on the shaft of the motor with proximity pickup or Magnetic reed switch gives a train of pulses. The signal is given to an electronic circuit which senses the duration between the pulses. If the interval between pulses is more than the set time and if it continues more than the time delay set, a relay de-energises. The circuit consists of signal conditioners, time interval detectors, power supply and Relay Circuit. Total system is housed in a compact dust proof ABS Plastic DIN Rail mounting Case.
