Cast Iron Surface Plates are manufactured to specifications laid down in IS 2285 / DIN 876 or respective standards where products are exported. They are made from close grained Grey Iron Castings to IS 210 : FG 220. They are machined and finally hand scraped to achieve the overall flatness and also flatness within a specified area, as per standards. The sizes to which these are manufactured are 450 x 450 mm to 5000 x 2500 mm as individual plates and for achieving larger sizes more than one piece of the above sizes are used. For example to achieve a plate size of 5000 x 5000 mm we layout 2 plates of 5000 x 2500 mm and do the final erection at the customer's site.

GRANITE Surface Plates are used for very exacting inspection of components where accuracy inbuilt on the product is retained for a very long time. Use of Natural Black Granite is very important and Indian Granites that too Black Granite is the hardest in the World and they measure 5 to 6 in Mohs Scale. After selection and verifying the physical composition, its compression strength , it vulnerability to Acids and finding a acid proof granite, the input materials are identified for a particular size of the plate. They are cleaned, cut to size and firstly taken up for diamond grinding the face and sides, later they are fine hand lapped for achieving the accuracy. We produce these Granite surface Plates from size 450 x 450 up to 4000 x 2000 mm.
