Ingredients: Ragi (finger millet) – 1 cup Bajra (pearl millet) – 1 cup Jowar (sorghum) – 1 cup Whole wheat – 1 cup Brown rice – 1 cup Green gram (moong dal) – 1 cup Chickpeas (chana dal) – 1 cup Corn – 1 cup Soya beans – 1 cup Barley – 1 cup Horse gram – 1 cup Black gram (urad dal) – 1 cup Almonds – 1/2 cup Cashews – 1/2 cup Cardamom – 10-12 pods (optional, for flavor) Instructions: Clean and Roast: Clean all the grains, pulses, and nuts to remove any debris. Dry roast each ingredient separately on a low flame until they emit a pleasant aroma and turn slightly golden. Ensure not to burn them. Cool and Grind: Allow the roasted ingredients to cool completely. Grind them into a fine powder using a powerful mixer grinder or mill. Mix and Store: Mix all the ground powders thoroughly. Store the Sathu Maavu mix in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Usage: Porridge: Mix 2 tablespoons of Sathu Maavu with water or milk, cook on low flame until it thickens, and sweeten with jaggery or honey. Dosa/Batter: Mix with water to make a batter and use it for dosas or pancakes.
