Near Field Testing (NFT) is a quick and low-cost approach for inspecting fin-fan carbon-steel tube. This method is based on a straightforward driver-pickup eddy current probe design that allows for quick signal analysis. Internal corrosion, erosion, and pitting in carbon steel tubing can all be detected with NFT. The NFT probes translate lift-off, also known as "fill factor," into amplitude-based signals.
